here's a recap on the last couple of things:
watched usc bball eek one out against north dakota state. the bison. demarr derozan was as advertised. he's almost too unselfish right now. dwight lewis and hackett are really going to have to step it up in pac 10 play if we want to finish .500 or better.

watched ted neeley in jesus christ superstar. i realize he must be over 50 by now but wow. this old mexican dude behind me said, "yeah i saw something like this on tv once. it was pretty stupid and had rock and roll and disco music and it was antireligion. what is this about?" and the lady he was with replied, "that is exactly what this is."

i got some of my xmas gifts from missi! the highlight is my wii fit. my bmi is 22.9. yikes i'm on the border of normal and overweight. frickin holidays!

so there was a vp debate. i should talk about that. and there is that bailout bill that i should REALLY talk about...

but hey this is burgs.net.

check out the new nintendo dsi that is launching in japan.

after an email from joghas, i had to include this. vh1's top 100 hip hop list (actual list on bottom of link). some notable omissions. some bad calls. anyone care to comment? (i know exactly what you are thinking...where's snow and vanilla ice!)

and this weekend big games. dodgers and sc. rich v actually scored me a ticket to game 4...not trying to jinx or anything but umm..there might not even be a game 4? petros calls it a pivotal game for the pete carroll area. i call it a must win.

question: anyone with an iphone have any "purchased" apps that are really worth buying? in particular, i'm curious about the star wars game, the force unleashed. i admit i'm a full on star wars geek. but just seeing if people think its worth the 10 bucks.

i've been fine with free downloads, the best one so far being "white noise", an ambient noise app for the iphone.

if u have an iphone, get the 2.0 software release. also make sure to upgrade your itunes to access the app store. i haven't purchased any apps yet but have downloaded many free ones.

things to note:
i've downloaded approx 20 free apps.. the 20 apps only are taking up about half a gig total.

the best freeapps? phonesaber (your very own virtual lightsaber), tiptap (ddr type game), and baseball (this is a baseball reference that includes player stats by year and team!) if you have any other new apps to recommed, let me know.

other things that are great are the bulk delete function in email and microsoft exchange support (something i'm in the process of configuring but will let u know how that goes).

problems? my phone has locked up on me for a minute or so from time to time but nothing critical.

overall, very happy with the experience. it really feels like i have a brand new phone. any questions, feel free to ask.

usc beat arizona! cool, mayo is playing good. its kind of a catch 22. i want mayo, jefferson, taj to play good. but not TOO good or else they'll all declare for the draft. beat the sun devils!

anyone running the la marathon on sunday? not me this year, but i am planning to check it out. if you are running it and need a pacer for a few miles, let me know.

ok so i still hate vy for what he did in texas.

but what can i do? he's on my fantasy team and madden 08 is awesome (forgive me, i haven't had a madden since my sega genesis so its revolutionary to me).

washington state this weekend! beat the cougars! (not hot older ladies, i'm referring to the washington state football team and rich virolas fantasy football team).

no we're not talking about ohio st vs michigan, or sc vs cal. no ladies and gentlemen i'm talking about mario lopez vs emmitt smith in a dance off!!!!

ugh. anyways, my ds lite is awesome. i treat it like most guys treat new toys. which means it gets all the attn while other toys (like my ipod) get less attn. it'll end when the novelty wears off (i think).

quick fantasy update. i'm 7-3 and 6-4 in my two leagues! awesome.

my quick opinion on what we'll have to do to beat cal:
1) no turnovers
2) don't kick it to deshaun jackson
3) mix up the coverages on d. soft zone all day won't cut it against an accurate qb.

watched little miss sunshine on fri night. great movie, highly recommend it if you haven't seen it yet.

the sc/wsu game was tough. as calm as i tried to maintain, it did get me nervous. the arizona game-solid on d, shaky on o. the wsu game-solid on o, shaky on d. hopefully we can put it together at home this weekend vs uw.

looking for a good book to read, any suggestions? i'm thinking about picking up the alchemist. can anyone comment on that book? yay or nay?
