valentimes

happy belated valentimes day.

i put in my paperwork for graduation this may. i'll be 4 units short but they'll let me walk since i'm finishing up this summer. i hope (still waiting for approval by the provost).

i think i'll hit my 100 miles for the month. i'm at 90 and have 4 days left. again, the last time i hit 100 miles was september...2007.

last weekend i finally watched "the wrestler" and i caught "coraline" in 3d. both EXCELLENT flicks. i was a bit nervous theatre hopping though. i don't know why i was so nervous about a high school usher, hell thats what i used to do and i really didn't care if anyone movie hopped or not.

happy ash wednesday to all the catolicos. here's a link from missi about giving up facebook for lent.

tuition

i should have thought of this idea first instead of taking out some major loans to go back to grad school. on second thought, i probably wouldn't get bids in the millions but maybe i might get enough to buy myself a happy meal.

awesome trojan news (from earl):
"USC coach Pete Carroll said Monday that All-American safety Taylor Mays, cornerback Josh Pinkard and tailback C.J. Gable would return next season."

i'm ecstatic about mays and pinkard returning. not so sure what to think about gable. i think i would like to see what marc tyler could do back there but i guess it's nothing to complain about.

hey for all my married friends, did you guys go on the "engaged encounter" retreat? missi and i just got back. i don't think i've talked about so many feelings ever in my life.

holidays

one good thing about the holidays. all the food. but thats also the bad thing about the holidays. ugh...i need some willpower.

heroes is good right now. i think they'll rebound nicely in 09.

just 3 more classes til my one month break. i seriously can't wait. don't get me wrong, i'll still have work but just the time i'll free up without school. it will be nice.

baller.

non partisan

i really try my best to observe sports not as a fan, but more as a non partisan observer. of course that goes out the window for two things: all things usc and manny p.

this sunday will tell the story. if i'm ecstatic, my two "home teams" will have emerged victorious. if i'm pissed off, there may be one (and hopefully not two) stinging losses. and if i'm hung over....well ok i might be hung over regardless.

its really hard to talk about the fight without emotions coming out. manny p fans will give u a million reasons why he will win. and odlh fans will do the same thing. we'll have to see on saturday.

in other news, the semester is winding down. finals coming up and then one more semester until i graduate for (hopefully) the last time ever!

perfect pushup

just 3 days til pasadena marathon. this is definitely the last marathon in my foreseeable future. i might concentrate on running half marathons next year. hopefully i really do free up some time in may so i can resume really training hard.

for now, i have the perfect pushup! anyone have it? its pretty awesome. besides using that, i'm trying to eat good this last week. i know its a bit late, but right now i feel like i'm lendale white running a marathon.

i'm also looking forward to finishing the semester. we have a month off of school until spring semester. my last break from school was last december so it'll be good to have no homework for a few weeks.

anyone in pasadena this weekend? let me know if you are interested in checking out the run. here's a link to the map for anyone interested.

weekender this weekend. beat the farm!

jager

caught wicked again with missi on friday night. teal wicks who plays elpheba was awesome. the woman who played g(a)linda wasn't as good as the one we saw the first time (laura woyasz). all in all, its a bit troublesome that i knew all the words.

the next day i planned to run 24 miles. didn't happen. i got umm...10 in? the marathon in 3 weeks is gonna hurt. really bad.

to compound my not running enough, kevin and i hung out for the az game. we drank jager bombs. we ate fried chicken. we ate nachos. then we proceeded to take turns slapping one another in the face to see if that would help us sober up. not sure if it worked.

and sunday, i was just useless. utterly useless. it takes me over 24 hours to recover from drinking. i didn't leave the house the whole day. didn't work out, didn't see the sun. had two fantasy basketball drafts and watched way too much football. i don't even know if i brushed my teeth or showered.

on the bright side, i got an A on my project management midterm last week!

what is everyone upto for halloween?

wildcats

omg hsm3 comes out tonight! lolz! (yes thats sarcasm. and yes, i could pretend that i'm not going to watch it on the big screen but you know me better than that.)

what have i been upto...ran the 10 mile race at hb. ran it in about 1:13:30 which is about 7:20 pace.

had a midterm in pm. got the midterm at 7pm and it was due the next day at noon. prior notice would have been nice. had to use a half day of vacation time to work on it. was able to submit the 9 page exam at 11:50am.

tonight watching wicked.

tomorrow running 24 miles.

beat the wildcats! (the arizona football team, not the hsm3 high school basketball team).

mother of all...

as if the usc/ohio state hype wasn't enough...i recently read this:

"Rumor is that Saturday's tailgating could be the mother of all tailgating".

i'm about to start my fall semester. wed 7-10 i have my project management in healthcare and on thursday from 4-7 i have my social technologies class. these are actually two of the more interesting classes so i'm pretty excited.

beat the buckeyes!

olympics 08

everyone is suddenly an expert in the olympics. i admit, i too, geek it for the summer games. i love stuff like womens gymnastics, track and field, and swimming because...well when do you ever watch that stuff besides the summer games? i guess that is one good thing about the jetlag since my sleep schedule is totally aligned with the olympic viewing schedule.

got my baggage. jetlag getting better. leg healing up. all is good, just trying to get back into the swing of things. this weekend i just want to relax but i don't know if thats in the cards for me.

tonight is my last night of class for the summer. I'll get a 2 week reprieve from school until the fall semester begins.

a few more weeks until football!
