so kevstine, deb and me went out with cece since she is in town for the holidays. started pretty tame, over at marco's for some peruvian. i had the pollo saltado (salty chicken). afterwards we went to brass monkey, our goto spot for the karaoke.
so it starts business as usual. its pretty packed so we are just kinda standing on the sidelines. we notice an empty table so i ask the waitress if we can sit there. unfortunately its reserved and the people will be there in 20 minutes. they offer for us to sit there and we pass.
who shows up to claim that table? uh, kristen dunst and non famous friends. seriously. we curse ourselves for not sitting there and meeting kristen. its ok, night still early.
the craziest thing happens. apparently, some old dude "harassed" some asian girl. what we witness is the aftermath. the chick runs over to his table, throws her drink at him (completely missing btw) and proceeds to call him a limp dick viagra user. good times.
the bouncers proceed to kick hm out like jazz in fresh prince style (after the old man challenges them to fight). so we then politely ask the waitress to inhabit the old mans table (which happens to be next to kristen dunst). she gives it to us. score.
then guess who joins kristen dunst? samantha ronson (former lindsay lohan beau who is actually a very good looking dyke). and adam levine (of maroon 5). score.
and who do we see at the bar sitting by himself? john mayer!
john mayer introduces himself to kristen, samantha, and adam. this shocks me. don't all famous people just know each other? isn't there some secret handshake? i guess not. samantha proceeds to sit on john mayers lap. i think he's going to try to make her change teams.
samantha ronson does "bette davis eyes", good perfomance. adam levine sings "let's stay together". he absolutely kills it. gives me new respect for maroon 5. john mayer does "humpty dance" but he's off beat. stick to the slow jams john. the funny thing is when they announced them the dj's say "adam l" or "samantha r" or "john m". john m, thats me too!
good night then we take off. as i am waiting to exit the parking lot, i see john and adam (first name basis son) arguing outside brass monkey. john is apologizing for something and adam is not having it. good times.

here's a recap on the last couple of things:
watched usc bball eek one out against north dakota state. the bison. demarr derozan was as advertised. he's almost too unselfish right now. dwight lewis and hackett are really going to have to step it up in pac 10 play if we want to finish .500 or better.
watched ted neeley in jesus christ superstar. i realize he must be over 50 by now but wow. this old mexican dude behind me said, "yeah i saw something like this on tv once. it was pretty stupid and had rock and roll and disco music and it was antireligion. what is this about?" and the lady he was with replied, "that is exactly what this is."
i got some of my xmas gifts from missi! the highlight is my wii fit. my bmi is 22.9. yikes i'm on the border of normal and overweight. frickin holidays!
i'll post some pics from my bday here including all the cool costumes. had a good time at busbys in santa monica with kevin, tony, and s.o.'s. it was a good thing i ran 11 miles that morning b/c i felt like crap after all the jager bombs and benitos.
saturday was homecoming and i was able to avoid alcohol altogether that day.
sunday just spent with my fam and watching football. sorta bummed about the bcs and fantasy this weekend but i'll survive.

i'm about to start my fall semester. wed 7-10 i have my project management in healthcare and on thursday from 4-7 i have my social technologies class. these are actually two of the more interesting classes so i'm pretty excited.

i have a new favorite show on tv. intervention on a&e. have u seen it? its a trainwreck, but a smart trainwreck. its no flava of love 3 or beauty and the geek.
went to taco tuesday at fred's in pasadena yesterday. fred's is the old moose's. although its the same ownership, def not as cool as moose's. 2 dollar tacos is a sweet deal though.
cool, just looked ahead at sc's fall schedule. homecoming falls on my bday this year!
as i was awaiting my turn to pickup my tuxedo, i noticed how nervous the kid was in front of me. a pimply faced, gangly kid, probably going to his first prom. he kept checking himself out in front of the mirror while sighing heavily. when it was finally my turn, the lady at the mens wearhouse asked me, "so when is your prom?" i promptly replied, "lady, i'm over 30."
