happy (belated) 4th of july everyone! i have a midterm tonight so i couldn't really go too crazy this weekend. i was stuck indoors studying most of the time. not so exciting. on the 4th, missi and i caught fireworks in pasadena. we were on the colorado street bridge (better known by some people as suicide bridge) where we were able to see fireworks from south pas and the rose bowl. cool stuff.

this weekend missi and i are going up north. luckily kev and kristine are going with us. it'll help ease the pain of gas prices.

the other great thing about this weekend is that they were playing star wars all weekend on spike tv. empire strikes back never gets old.

funny thing about brackets is people only bring them up when their bracket is doing good. when they don't, on to the next sport!

cool feature on usnews about top up and coming careers and overrated careers. my career (health informatics manager/specialist) made the list!

went out for my dads bday. he was having a great bday until ucla came back to beat texas a&m. sorry pops.

2 more days til my bros wedding. not too stressed out. then again, most guys arent stressed out about this wedding. but the women (like my mom, the bride, and the brides mom) are crazy stressed. just had the church rehearsal and the rehearsal dinner last night. pretty much done with my speech and just trying to get that memorized.

good question here on espn, "who would you rather be, tom brady or derek jeter?"

happy anniversary to my folks! 31 years yesterday!

hmm ok a quick weekend trip recap wednesday 7pm-2am: drove up north thursday all day: babysitted thursday night: played pool fri noon to 3pm: went to sun valley mall fri after that: went to that one party saturday 4:30 pm-7:30 pm: free cocktails in the lobby saturday: lolas bday sunday 2-4: watched the debut w/ my cousins sun 4-7: played ball sun 9pm-3am: went home i'm sure i'm missing all the minor details but thats the jist of it. i ate sooo much this weekend. i need to work out like a madman this week. my one cousin is really light skinned w/ blonde curly hair so we all call him justin. and yes the lakers swept portland.

last night i hung out w/ some of my old pals. it was funny i had to drive to vallejo and right when i saw the city limit sign the song playing on my radio was "can it be so simple" by wu tang clan. anyways we went to costco to get some liquor. then we hit up some party. it was cool. i hung out w/ my friends ceasar, claire and eric. it was crazy b/c some of these kids bartend better than me. the highlight of the evening was when these kids were freestyling right. and this one faded guy goes off on this girl and talks about how he makes more money than her. whoa now thats not even right. but still, it was a pretty poppin shindig. well gotta get ready for my lola's thing.

last night i went to play pool w/ my cousin and my uncle. pretty amusing stuff. really considering that we had a pool table in our apartment for a whole year and that we would literally wake up and play before even brushing out teeth...i should be a whole lot better at pool. but i'm not. afterwards we went to in n out. i'm not sure whats poppin for tonight, i'm sposedto go to some party w/ one of my hs friends, c. but its just amusing how none of my friends at la believe i have any hs friends at all. its funny though up north. i've seen the debut commercials like 5 times already up here.

i'm a retard. after all that talk, i still forgot my toothbrush. well the drive up was just dandy. alot of driving by yourself means alot of singing along to your cd's and alot of thinking. which is sometimes good, sometimes not so good. today i spent babysitting my 6 year old cousin. we went to mcdonalds and to buy candy. one of the workers thought she was my kid. what the heezy, that would be nuts. after that i played ball w/ my lil ghetto cousins (well not so little they are in hs). anyways they took advantage of my crippledness and proceeded to talk smack. ah it was amusing. well to all my friends in la, don't party too hard w/o me. i don't know how often i'll be able to get online up here but you all know i'm a computer nerd so i'll find a way. well i wanna finish watchin the lakers game, peace kiddies.
