no i'm not talking about those video games on your sega genesis. i'm talking about this years nba finals.

bill simmons writes a great article about why the lakers will win.

he even writes a great quote on laker fans (obviously he hasn't met the laker flag fans).

should be a great finals. me, i'm preparing my body mentally to endure perhaps the worst pain i've ever endured. cheers!

the marathon is this sunday. i told myself if its really bad, i'll drop out. a DNF (did not finish) is the last thing i want but i just realize i'm not in shape to do this right. my plan is to run at 9 minute pace and hopefully i can keep that up. since 17 miles is the most i've ran this year, who knows what will happen to me in the later miles. if i have to work, so be it. but i just don't want any injuries.

brian and michelle's wedding was great. i put kevs best man speech on youtube and will put it up here soon.

good article about first time marathoners. this will be how i'll look/feel this weekend.

as i was awaiting my turn to pickup my tuxedo, i noticed how nervous the kid was in front of me. a pimply faced, gangly kid, probably going to his first prom. he kept checking himself out in front of the mirror while sighing heavily. when it was finally my turn, the lady at the mens wearhouse asked me, "so when is your prom?" i promptly replied, "lady, i'm over 30."

wow great game. i was debating going to the gym when they were down by 20. good thing i stuck around til the end.

yikes, death at turner field. its a tragic accident but something that happens way too often.

i've seen a drunk guy "slide" down a handrail. except it wasnt intentional. he slipped and literally slide/fell down the handrail/staircase. he emerged a bloody mess. i'm sure it was quite the buzzkill.

brians rehearsal dinner tonight. gotta pick up the tux tomorrow.

i'm sore. the miles i've been putting in are starting to take their toll after the time away from running. i know you can't cram for a marathon but thats exactly what i'm doing.

i realize its about time for a redesign. several parts of my site (calendar, forum, etc) aren't really being used. i guess its just a matter of when.

lakers vs spurs. i say lakers in 5. what say ye?

brians wedding on saturday. open bar. yikes.

went to vegas this weekend for missi's cousins bday. the highlight was the bellagio buffet. and seeing kimbo slice at the mall.

marathon in less than 2 weeks. yikes.

....6 more classes to go.

someone from class asked me if i was gonna go for my phd. at first i said no way. but i guess anythings possible.

looking forward to vegas this week. maybe looking more forward to chilling at the pool or in the room with wireless internet.

geez i haven't seen iron man yet. and considering my level of geekocity, this is a travesty.

i have my final in my networking class. then i get to rest for a weekend before my summer semester begins!

ugh, horrible sports day for me. first off the lakers lost.

worse, these oj mayo allegations came out. i'm hoping its nothing. or if it is something, hopefully he can pull a reggie bush and throw a bunch of money at it to make it go away. but like shawn george says, where theres smoke, theres fire.

my semester ends thursday. i'm excited about that.

sd marathon beginning of next month. i have no idea how i'll do that. this is the worst shape i've ever been in going into a marathon but i still plan to do it. my goal is just to not have a career worst. i'll look at it like a "training run".

just came back from turner field. i got to see yunel escobar, jeff francour and chipper jones play. and i got to tomohawk chop. that was cool.

bobby cox got tossed, chipper went 2 for 4, and the braves won 5-2. oh and i had a pulled pork sandwich.

gym at the hotel, here i come.

back in atlanta. crunch time for school as well with a final the day i come back to la. my last final is next thursday. then i get to relax for a few days!
