burgs« rammers | main | bku »02.11.2008 my political views the following are my political views: social security-you should only be able to claim it if you've put into it. i don't think its fair for people who haven't paid for social security to reap its benefits. war-seriously why are we in iraq abortion-yes. dealth penalty-yes. housing - why should bad investors be bailed out? its like any bad investment on wall street etc. yes i feel bad if a home is being foreclosed. but if they made 100,000 bucks off their home, i'm sure they wouldn't give any of it back. illegal aliens-be tough, no benefits, definitely ship em out if they commit a crime, penalize companies/owners that hire them very strictly. let it be known that i was once an immigrant. but theres a proper way to go about obtaining citizenship. technology-why do we spend so much on the space program? i would love to hear a space proponents view on this. seriously.... this money should be better spent on medical research, education, etc same sex marriage- sure why not. health care-citizens only. again i don't think its fair for people who get taxed to pay for people who don't get taxed or are here illegally. guns-i know theres a right to bear arms. but how easy is it to get a gun license? i mean to get a drivers license you have a written and an actual. same should be for a gun license. anyways these are my political views. i'm sure everyone disagrees, everyone has their own opinion of whats right. i don't even know if i'm a liberal or a conservative. probably a little of both so probably a moderate. anyways based on this, which candidate left best represents me? so said burgs @ 16:00 | guestbook | bookmark | board | comments: I will field the Space program question, b! While I have been in this industry for a super long time and also question the price tag of everything that goes into space, I have come to the conclusion that they are so expensive because it is a combination of uninformed politicians who continuously shelve space programs (for more useless programs), corrupt and greedy defense contractors (who utilize capitalism to the fullest extent), and inefficient engineers who drag a program out by throwing in lame things and they fail to see the big picture. Its expensive, those space programs. Are they necessary? Yes, some of them very much are. Should they be as expensive and take as long to develop? hell no. so said elcapitan @ 02.12.08 11:07 tones, thanks for the retort. well good to know. i just hope they can start spending the money more efficiently going forward. so said b @ 02.12.08 14:43 post a comment |
