Hi Burgs. Congrats on your new 'engaged' status! Good luck to both you and Missi.

You don't know me, but I am writing to ask for a little bit of advice. I noticed that you are a systems administrator (which tells me that you know a whole lot more about internet and communications than I probably ever will).

Here's the deal: I am helping a friend of mine with a Special Event Day launching her book. Her name is Jhet. She is from the Phillipines, and her book tells her life story. Jhet wants to give back to her homeland and she is going to give all the profits from her launch date to build a village in the countryside there.

PS: I agree with you totally about Barry Bonds. I don't think Hank's record has actually been touched! M

I hate to comment but I totally am bothered by that last line in the previous post.

Bonds is the HR King. Period. Don't listen to what the media portrays him as. If you berate him on the basis of speculation, you are adding to the problem.

No one hates Mark McGwire, Sammy Sosa, or even frickin' Shawn Merriman.

The only thing I feel cheated about is that Major League Baseball has shown a lack of leadership through Bud Selig in this whole process.

hi commenter, just to clarify everyone in this era should be questioned. i personally hate sammy sosa, mark mcgwire, jason giambi, rafael palmeiro anyone who has ever done them b/c they have all tainted the game. look at the tour defrance, its a complete joke and thats whats happening to baseball. the problem is if carney lansford or walt weiss does steroids, noone really cares. the fact is, barry bonds is the poster child for steroids, just like pacman jones is the poster child for making it rain and michael vick is the poster child for dogfighting. and i agree with your last line, i'm very jaded by major league baseball in general because of all this. great post though and i'm glad to hear a different opinion. so just curious, would you feel the same way if he was proven guilty of steroid use?

Don't forget that stupid Texan Lance Armstrong ! He's guilty above all of them...regardless, Barry is the HR King and possibly the greatest player of all times but even with that - THE GIANTS STILL SUCK !
